Frequently asked questions
Can we have different capacities for pool, sunbed, and cabana zones?
Yes. Create separate ticket tiers for each zone: General Admission (pool deck, 200 capacity), Sunbed (50 capacity), Daybed (20 capacity), Cabana (15 capacity). Each tier has independent capacity tracking and pricing. You can see real-time numbers per zone in the dashboard.
How does the waitlist work when someone cancels?
When a tier sells out, interested guests can join the waitlist for free. If a cancellation or refund opens up a spot, the next person on the waitlist automatically receives an email with a time-limited purchase link (configurable, default 24 hours). If they do not purchase in time, the spot moves to the next person in line.
Can we offer group discounts for birthday parties and hen dos?
Yes. Set up automatic discount rules: for example, 10% off for groups of 4+, 20% off for groups of 8+. The group organiser adds all tickets to one cart, the discount applies automatically, and each guest receives their own QR code. You can also create private promo codes for specific groups.
What happens if weather forces a cancellation?
From the event dashboard, mark the event as cancelled and select the reason. TicketWave immediately emails all ticket holders with the cancellation notice. You then choose: bulk refund everyone via Stripe with one click, or offer rescheduling to another date. The entire process takes under 60 seconds regardless of how many guests booked.
Can guests add a cabana upgrade after buying a GA ticket?
Currently, add-ons are selected at checkout. If a guest wants to upgrade after purchase, you can issue a partial refund on the original ticket and they repurchase with the cabana add-on. We are building post-purchase upgrades for a future release.
Do you support influencer and hotel partner tracking?
Yes. Generate unique promo codes or affiliate links for each influencer or hotel partner. Track exactly how many bookings each partner drives, with what discount, and calculate commission automatically. Export partner reports as CSV for payout processing.
